Welcome to the Spring issue of CapeWomenOnline! While you were hunkering down for what seemed like an endless winter we were busy making some exciting changes to our magazine. CWO is blooming with new features, from a new logo designed by Amy Mason, to the integration of social media plugins. We have answered your calls to make CWO more interactive. The addition of our Twitter feed at the top of every page makes it easy for you to share your thoughts right from the article page itself. Invite your followers to read it too! Our Facebook posts now appear on the Homepage and will keep you up to date with all our latest news and event announcements. We invite you to Like our CWO Facebook page and add your voice to our conversation. The addition of this dedicated Publisher's Welcome Page allows me to tell you what's going on with the CWO team and explain how you can get involved in our growing online and offline network of amazing women. The changes you see in this Spring issue are only the beginning of our growth. Over the next few issues, we will roll out several new features designed to expand our support for Cape Cod's creative community and local businesses. In our Summer issue, for example, we will introduce the CWO Gallery page. Functioning just like our CWO Bookshelf, artists and gallery owners will have a space to share their art and link our readers directly to their websites. One reader suggested we include poetry in every issue. I am delighted to share four readers' poems in our Literary Women section. If you'd like to submit your poetry please visit our Submission Guidelines. CapeWomenOnline has always been, and continues to be YOUR magazine, where your voices are shared with readers from Provincetown to New Zealand! If you would like to be added to our ever-expanding list of contributing writers please email me, Nicola@capewomenonline.com, and let me know what section you'd like to write for. Thank you to everyone who made this issue possible. As days lengthen and the sun invites you to spend more time outdoors, we hope these articles inspire and motivate you to enjoy what Mary Oliver calls "your one wild and precious life." Happy Spring! Nicola, Publisher |
