Welcome to the Holiday Issue of CapeWomenOnline magazine, where we celebrate our final issue with a fabulous collection of wonderful articles, stunning artwork and (drum roll please) readers’ recipes that are sure to get you in the holiday mood. PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT the end of CapeWomenOnline - our CWO community is stronger than ever - we are NOT going anywhere! In response to readers’ requests, we are evolving our format to a more regularly updated website that will become the new forum for you to share your ideas, experiences and resources as you inspire each other in your journey through this ‘wild and precious life.’ Keep sending us your submissions! Our new CWO site will continue to feature articles under our regular headings and you will have access to EVERY issue of CWO Magazine (2008 – 2014) by clicking on our Past Issues link on the new homepage. Your published articles will NOT go dark! This issue gives you a preview of our new READERS’ RECIPES section featuring readers’ favorite seasonal recipes - not all of them ‘healthy’ but oh, so good! Our CWO Bookshelf, which contains the titles of local authors, will be expanded over time to include in-depth author profiles and links to their upcoming authorial events. Our CWO Gallery is still in the creation phase so stay tuned. If there’s something you’d like to see that we haven’t already thought of then please send us your suggestions on our Feedback form. We are listening to your ideas. I want to express my sincere thanks to everyone who has worked on this magazine. I am eternally grateful to our former Editor, Katie O’Sullivan, for her years of hard work, to Gillian Drake for birthing this venture with me in 2008, and to our CWO Web Princess, Jane Schaller, whose technical skills and creative vision have made this magazine possible. Jane will continue to weave her web princess magic over our new CWO site. I express my deepest thanks to all the writers, artists, photographers and columnists who have so generously contributed to this magazine over the last 7 years. It is your willingness to share your stories, ideas and resources that enabled us to create this forum and to address the issues we all face together. Our conversation will continue with the birth of our new CWO site at CapeWomenOnline.net. Our new site will launch in January 2015 so be sure to add your email to our FREE Subscription box to receive information about our transition and upcoming events. Please visit our Submission Guidelines if you would like to contribute your voice to our ever-expanding community of amazingly talented women. Do keep sending us your LETTERS – we will publish them in January. We look forward to hearing your thoughts about our new issue. Wishing you a very Happy Holidays and a Peaceful New Year!
