CLASH: Cape Land And Sea Harvest

Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27

A salute to fishing, farming, and all things Cape Cod, the CLASH is a weekend long festival celebrating the rich heritage and abundance of local food on the Cape. The weekend’s events include tours, tastings and hands-on events at farms, bogs, breweries, wineries, piers and other food-related businesses all over Cape Cod. On Friday and Saturday nights, participating Cape restaurants will feature special menus, creating signature dishes with products sourced from local growers.

On Sunday, don’t miss the season finale farmers’ market at the Hyannis Village Green from 10 am to 2 pm. It’s the last opportunity of the season to purchase locally harvested produce, flowers and herbs, baked goods, honey, beeswax candles, and even lobster - directly from the producer. Live music will fill the air and there will be activities for the whole family.

The CLASH weekend culminates Sunday afternoon with a special “Farm to Table” event in the fields of Cape Cod Organic Farm in Barnstable, organized and sponsored in part by Slow Food Cape Cod (SFCC). SFCC is a local chapter of Slow Food USA, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the pleasures of the table. Their mission is teaching others to take time to bring joy into our everyday meals. SFCC promotes eating local foods and experiencing the superior taste of dishes prepared with fresh, in-season ingredients, while preserving our regional heritage.
