Reaching For the Heart of Happiness

by Jill Abraham

The Universe Is Magical! If you open your eyes to see all the signs, you will find that your destiny is calling to you every single day. Sometimes in big ways, sometimes in small. But the question is, are you looking for the signs?

We can often lose sight of the mystical force that moves through all things. The same force that moves the sun around the earth, that keeps us anchored to the ground, that turns seeds into beautiful flowers, that moves the clouds in the sky.

That same force is guiding each of us on our path. And even though it's there all the time, sometimes we forget to trust in it

Planting Seeds on the New Moon

by Alicia Mathewson

I am passionate about the moon: how it looks in the sky, where it is in its phase, and what it teaches me about myself, the world, and the cycles of nature.

I have been blessed to see full and new moons all over the world, but one of the most profound places I witnessed the moon was in the Middle East, while teaching music in Egypt and Beirut, Lebanon, in 2009-2010.

During this time of living in the desert and sometimes by the Red Sea, I became even more aware of the moon - how it resonates with me specifically and how it has dictated multiple religious calendars

Bikram Yoga: Hot, Healthy and Healing

by Patricia Monahan

I'm sitting in traffic on a hazy, August Cape Cod afternoon, with water beading on my forehead. As perspiration oozes onto my clothing I plead for the cars ahead to move, to generate some type of breeze to cool my body. My Air conditioner is broken and I'm breaking into a fevered sweat. I curse the season of the tourist as my hands clench the steering wheel. I can't wait to get off the road, out of my car and back into the coolness of my office.

Five hours later, my forehead again is beaded with perspiration. A waterfall runs off my arms and down my legs. My face is burning red and my clothes are saturated. Only this time I feel calm. I am at peace. I crave the sweat that is flowing from my body. I am detoxifying, regenerating, cleansing.

A Call to Action: Living Compassionately

by Cindy Barg, M.Ed, LMHC

I never expected to be swept back into my own spiritual tradition when I visited an Ashram in India, in 1974. I was an exchange student living with a family who all decided that I might enjoy the experience of participating at a holy temple for a week, which was tucked away in a remote village on the southeastern coast of India.

Of course I would oblige. After all, I was in their home, their country and I fully wanted to respect their intentions.

At the heels of a grueling 4 hour drive to Pondicherry, we finally arrived at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. Before I got out of the car, my host mother, in her broken English, declared that they would see me the following week

A Message from Spirit

Channeled by Lynne Delaney

Passion springs from the Root of our Soul

Dear Beings of the New Dawn. As spring emerges, we can see ourselves reflected in the flowers that are starting to bud. The roots represent our potential and the creative energy that is stored in our souls. The flowers represent the creative expression of our potential.
