Welcome to a fabulous New Year and the Winter Issue of CapeWomenOnline, where we look at what Cape Women are truly passionate about. Cape Cod's beloved poet, Mary Oliver, captures our theme of PASSION for 2014 when she asks, "'Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?'

What indeed? If you have yet to discover your passion then why not make 2014 the year you examine what you love to do and where your dreams might take you? What are you waiting for?

Throughout this year, we will publish articles that reflect how Cape Women use their hearts to fuel their lives. By following the rhythm of the calendar's natural cycles, we will harness the energy of each season and explore our theme in an organic way. Focusing on a central theme will also help us to utilize the power of intention.

In this issue, you will notice that we have published five articles in our Life Stories, Working Women and Literary Women sections where we typically only feature three. This is because the response to our call for submissions for the Winter Issue was so abundant that we decided to add the extra pages to make your voices heard.

These articles reflect the depth of engagement Cape Women have with their work, community and environment. Our seven sections cover the spectrum, from Janet Eckhoff's Winter Gardening Tips to Shayna Mahoney's Loving Your Health.

If art is your passion than check out Embracing The Contemporary: "ALL ABOUT SEVEN" by Janet Murphy Robertson. Published a book? K.R. Conway's Book Marketing 101 offers a strategy for successful sales.

Darby Hobbs examines 'impact investing' in Collaborating through a Holistic Lens to Communicate the Conscience of the Financial Services Industry. Christine Mockler Casper asks us to consider Using Emotional Intelligence to Increase Motivation. Of course, we also have tax advice from Sherri Mahoney-Battles and Jane Bourette looks at Legacy Planning for Women.

If you would like to become a contributor please visit our Submission Guidelines. Wishing you a warm and productive winter,
