Arts Foundation of Cape Cod Presents the Citizens Bank Summer Concert Series
The Citizens Bank Summer Concert Series will once again fill the summer air with music.
Presented by the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, the series brings free, family-friendly weekly outdoor concerts to eight Cape towns: Chatham, Dennis, Falmouth, Harwich, Hyannis, Mashpee, Orleans and Sandwich.
The concert series, which features 48 performances by more than 20 popular local bands, will open on Monday, July 4, with Stage Door Canteen at the Dennis Bandstand and the Chandler Travis Philharmonic at Brooks Park in Harwich.
"We are delighted to sponsor the Summer Concert Series," said Jerry Sargent, President, Citizens Bank. "These shows create more activity for the businesses in the area while showcasing local artists.
"We look forward to partnering with the Arts Foundation to bring music to Cape Cod," he adds. "We are committed to serving the communities where we work and live and excited to provide local residents and visitors with safe, free and easily accessible entertainment this summer."
"The best bands on Cape Cod, great venues including village greens and beaches from Falmouth to Orleans. What could be better for a summer evening?" said AFCC Executive Director Kevin Howard. "The Arts Foundation is pleased to be able to bring the talent and the towns together, and we appreciate Citizens Bank's commitment to what has become an important part of the Cape Cod summer experience."
The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod is also pleased to announce their new partnership with Cat Wilson of Cool 102's The Cheap Seats to promote the original music of many of the Cape's hottest bands.
All concerts are free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring a beach chair or blanket to the concerts. There will be no rain dates. For up-to-the-minute information, visit www.artsfoundation.org.
